Our gold medal winning alpine nursery is one of the UK’s top five specialist growers of Alpines. Our passion is the tough plants that flourish in our Yorkshire garden… and therefore should in yours too. We’re situated at 900ft in the Pennines and have lost count of the number of times visitors have exclaimed “If it’ll grow up here, it’ll grow anywhere”. Remember too that alpines need far less water than their larger hebaceous cousins as they are much smaller plants, so if you have water restrictions they are an ideal choice.

Come and be inspired… whether you’re a beginner or enthusiast you’ll find a wonderful selection of reliable and more unusual plants to tempt you. The naturalistic garden has interesting planted containers and troughs, rock and scree beds, a 100ft planted wall, woodland planting, ponds and an indoor rockery.

OPENING TIMES
The garden and nursery are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday (and Bank Holiday Mondays) 10am-5pm from 2 March to 31 August inclusive. We are closed Monday to Thursday unless by prior appointment. PLEASE NOTE: we can only accept cash or cheque payments, no cards sorry.
