NEW lower delivery charge

Good news! We use Parcel Force 48 hour delivery service and have negotiated a new flat rate of £9.50 for parcels containing up to 35 plants – this is a 40% saving on postage. If we receive enough orders over the year then this rate will remain, if not then we reserve the right to revert to the Parcelforce standard rate (in which case we will put prior notification on the website). Very large orders will cost extra, in which case we will advise you. Charges and delivery vary for the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, Isles of Man and Isles of Scilly – please allow at least £15.00 for these areas.

Payment

Please make payment by cheque or postal order, made payable to Slack Top Nurseries. Do not send cash. Important: Please send your email address with your order so we can confirm when it has been posted out.

Alternatives

Please list a few alternatives in case your choices are not available, or instruct us to substitute with something similar, or if you prefer we can return a credit note. Alternatively you may wish to send a limit cheque, where you simply write in words the maximum value of your order at the top of the cheque, leaving the box for figures blank. We will then complete the text and figures for the correct amount.

Minimum Order Value

Due to the high labour input on mail order, our minimum order value is £30 sterling, excluding postage.

Dwarf conifers & larger plants

Please note that we package dwarf conifers to endeavour to prevent damage in transit but sometimes their growth can be temporarily distorted as a result. In ordering dwarf conifers by mail order you are accepting that this may happen. The plant soon regains its natural shape. Larger plants may also have their pot and some of the compost removed.

Despatch

Please allow up to 14 days for despatch. We try to despatch parcels on a Monday, where possible, so they are usually delivered to you on a Wednesday. This avoids any weekend delays. We cannot despatch while temperatures are below zero, as plants are unsuitable for posting.
