Group visits

Pre–booked group and coach visits are welcomed. The garden is at its best from May to August so this can be the best time to visit. For groups of 20+ we can offer an introductory talk with tea and coffee on arrival. Please note that the nursery has no toilet facilities on site, but there are public toilets fairly close by in Heptonstall Village (Townfield Lane), so it may be advisable for coaches to stop there ‘en route’. Most group visits tend to allow 1.5–2 hours for a visit to Slack Top.

Talks

As a full time nurseryman, spare time is in rather short supply, but slide talks on alpine plants can usually be arranged if booked in advance. Travel within a 40 mile radius of Hebden Bridge is possible and sales plants can be brought to the venue, along with pre–orders if required. A reasonable fee will be charged for my time, along with travel expenses.
