Slack Top is a small hamlet close to the popular tourist spots of Hebden Bridge and the historic village of Heptonstall. 'Slack' means a flap topped ridge between two valleys. The nursery also overlooks the picturesque National Trust Hardcastle Crags beauty spot, with plenty of beautiful walks nearby.
