Group visits

Pre–booked group and coach visits are welcomed. The garden is at its best from May to August so this can be the best time to visit. We offer an introductory talk and tour of the garden with time for questions. Please note that the nursery has no toilet facilities on site, but there are public toilets fairly close by in Heptonstall Village (Townfield Lane), so it may be advisable for coaches to stop there ‘en route’. Most group visits tend to allow 1.5–2 hours for a visit to the alpine garden at Slack Top and to browse the plants for sale.

Nursery owner Michael Mitchell offers slide talks on alpine plants to a variety of groups, if booked in advance. Travel within a 40 mile radius of Hebden Bridge is possible and sales plants can be brought to the venue, along with pre–orders if required. A talk fee, along with travel expenses, will apply - please contact us for current talk title and fee. We look forward very much to meeting your group.
